How many fixtures can I wire to the DMX Controller?

The DMX Controller is specified for 32 nodes (fixtures); that would be with poor cable quality and a long run. We have seen more than 500 feet of wire and more than 32 nodes work fine, even twice that many with good quality wire. DMX termination helps if there is trouble; that would be the end of the wire termination with a 120 Ohm resistor. There are lots of references on the web regarding DMX wiring, DMX reliability, dos and don'ts.
