Dimming
There are a number of wireless dimmers available that can easily be added to a project, as no wires are necessary. Dimming through the BubblyNet App allows any person, who has been given access to the network, to dim the lighting with precision down to a single fixture. Also, dimming levels can be saved either as preferences or as automatic scenes, making the energy savings even greater. The math is pretty simple, dimming down 30% reduces energy consumption by 30%.
High-end Trim
By establishing the maximum light intensity for each luminaire, zone or multiple zones with the BubblyNet App on Advanced Mode, energy costs can be markedly decreased. For example, if the maximum intensity is set for 90%, the luminaire cannot exceed this level while the dimming is being adjusted. This then consumes 10% less energy. You can choose any value between 1% and 100%.
Daylight Harvesting
The use of daylight sensors allow one to set the desired amount of foot candles within the different spaces of the building and reduce the artificial light intensity (and energy use) as natural light increases. This minimizes the electricity usage while ensuring the correct amount of light is present.
Occupancy/Vacancy Sensing
BubblyNet’s occupancy/vacancy sensors can be programmed for full lighting automation. Delays, transitions, run and prolong times as well as standby light levels are some of the parameters that can be set in order to maximize the energy efficiency of the building, providing seamless implementation for the full comfort of the occupants. According to the U.S. Dept. of Energy, occupancy and vacancy sensors are able to eliminate wasted electricity for lighting by as much as 30%.
Shades Control
Automated shades controls can reduce the energy required to either cool or heat indoor spaces based on season change. Automated shades can be set to open or close based on the time of day allowing them to either keep in heat or block the heat or to improve Daylight Harvesting results.
HVAC Integration/Control
Cooling and Ventilation consumes over 30% of the energy-use in commercial buildings. These functions can be integrated within the BubblyNet App, allowing for automation of all HVAC functions depending on the time of the day, occupancy and so on bringing your costs down.
Scheduling
The creation of scenes and a sophisticated scheduler allows for maximum efficiency. The scheduler can also be integrated with a GPS module or a gateway allowing one to calculate sunrise and sunset times for every day of the year, and then trigger events based on these astronomical values for maximum energy efficiency and user experience.
